Slytherin House pure wool fingerless gloves

Dark heart, warm hands - a pair of 100% merino wool Slytherin house fingerless gloves/wrist warmers, knitted in grey and green house colours.

These gloves have been hand knitted (by me!) from one of my own patterns, using 100% merino wool, because acrylic is for Hufflepuffs.

Length 19 cm, and gloves are 14cm measured round at base of fingers but have plenty of stretch. They can be gently machine washed at 30 degrees by a house elf.

Skull is not included, it belongs in the common room, sorry. Buy the gloves from my Etsy shop!

Slytherin House pure wool mittens

Dark heart, warm hands - a pair of 100% merino wool Slytherin house mittens, knitted in grey and green house colours.

These mittens have been hand knitted (by me!) using a smaller needle to create thick, snug mittens which will keep you warm no matter how dank your dungeon. Mittens are knitted in 100% merino wool, because acrylic is for Hufflepuffs.

Length 23 cm from cuff to finger tip. Mittens are 20cm measured round at base of fingers but have plenty of stretch. They can be gently machine washed at 30 degrees by a house elf.

Skull is not included, it belongs in the common room, sorry.

Buy them in my Etsy shop or contact me for a custom pair.

Lucius Malfoy doll

Hot off the knitting needles, a Lucius Malfoy doll for sale in my Etsy shop.

Lucius Malfoy is a bad, bad man. But he does have such lovely hair and a very good tailor, so we'll forgive him.

My Lucius Malfoy doll is approx 14 inches tall, and hand knitted (by me!) from my own design. He has an Edwardian-style smoking jacket with luxurious black trim and silver detailing. There's a dark green top underneath. A grey cravat and obligatory evil-guy cane top off the outfit.

Lucius is lovingly made, but I'll warn you now, he'll be trouble. Don't keep him on the same shelf as your Muggle dolls.

Christmas orders

If you're dreaming of a hand-knitted dark wizard under the Christmas tree this year, please do send your order to me sooner rather than later. There's a limited number of knitting days until Christmas and I would hate anyone to be disappointed.

Do be warned that both Severus and Lucius will eat all of your best chocolates and won't want to mingle nicely.

Have a peek in my Etsy shop to see what dolls are available.

Professor Snape plays chess

Claudia sent me this photo of her Severus Snape doll playing chess, far away in the magical land of Australia.

You can tell that Snape is an extremely skilled Occlumens: he's thinking far, far worse swears on the inside.

Thanks Claudia!

Professor Severus Snape knitting pattern

If you fancy knitting a Severus Snape doll of your own, you can now buy the knitting pattern in my Etsy shop for £5 plus P+P.

Severus is gloriously grumpy, and knits up on 4mm needles, using the double knitting yarn of your choice.

This 8 page knitting pattern has a fittingly gothic feel and is printed on the sort of parchment paper that would be perfect for a potions essay. It's hand assembled, with a colour photo of Severus on the front.

Severus Snape doll

Severus Snape is about 12 inches tall and knitted from acrylic yarn. He is dressed in his trademark Victorian frock coat complete with tiny buttons and is delightfully grumpy.

He is hand-knitted from one of my own patterns and is looking forward to sitting in your house and taking house points away from you at every opportunity.

Update Nov 2010: Severus has gone off to a new home, but check my Etsy shop to see if I have another for sale, or contact me if you'd like to commission a Snape doll.

Foolish knitting-needle waving

There will be no foolish knitting needle-waving or silly incantations in this club. As such, I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is knitting...
